Our story

Created Great Vending was founded with a clear mission: to create generational wealth, empower underserved communities and prove that greatness can come from any beginning. The vision behind the “Created Great” brand was developed by Kyrell Thorne, a born entrepreneur raised by a single mother in Southeast San Diego. Despite being kicked out at 17, Kyrell never stopped finding ways to build, from launching a boxing business to selling snowcones and snacks as side hustles. His passion for business and uplifting others grew into a bigger dream to build something that could make a real impact. In June 2025, Kyrell met Keymon Penn at a homeless shelter where they both were staying and the two quickly formed a genuine bond rooted in mutual respect, faith and drive. Keymon, who moved to San Diego from Madera, California had experienced his own share of hardship after his father left, leaving him responsible for helping care for his siblings. After completing a cybersecurity program at SDSU, Keymon was in a better financial position and searching for a meaningful path. Seeing the vision and potential in Kyrell’s Created Great brand, he stepped in as a partner and financial backbone, allowing the two to combine passion, strategy and resources to launch Created Great Vending. Together, they are building more than vending machines. They are building hope, ownership and a future far greater than where they started.
